Laboratory Services Waste Sampling and Analysis Framework Agreement

Natural Resources Wales (NRW) is looking to conduct pre-tender market engagement with contractors interested in providing laboratory analysis of solid and / or liquid waste samples. Lot 1: Natural Resources Wales (NRW) is intending to award a 3 year Framework Agreement / Contract commencing 01 July 2024 that can provide laboratory analysis services of solid and / or liquid waste samples taken by NRW Staff at a variety of sites, e.g., regulated waste facilities, illegal waste sites, sites that hold waste exemptions. Contractors will be required to undertake lab analysis of waste samples. Analysis of waste samples will provide NRW with an improved capability in terms of compliance assessment and evidence gathering for enforcement purposes, where appropriate. Analytical labs will need to UKAS accredited and able to and ability to demonstrate a chain of custody up to evidential standards. Analysis of waste samples will also provide better and more robust information on which to base decisions across multiple regimes. This will also help NRW to meet one of its strategic objectives to minimise pollution. NRW will be undertaking pre-tender market engagement between 08 April and 13 April 2024 with contractors interested in providing laboratory analysis for NRW. As part of the pre-tender market engagement period we are inviting suppliers to attend an individual 30 minute meeting online with NRW Procurement and project staff. These meetings will give suppliers an opportunity to learn more about the requirement, ask questions and gain insights into the tendering process and timeframes. The meetings will be held online via MS Teams.
