Provision of a Laboratory Service for Testing of Drugs of Abuse/Misuse

Tender description

DVLA requires a contract for the provision of Laboratory Services which will deliver urine drug screening and confirmation services accurately and confidentially to support the decision-making process within Drivers Medical Group (DMG). Lot 1: The Authority requires a contract which will deliver urine drug screening and confirmation services to assist the Authority in determining a drivers medical fitness to hold a driving licence. The successful supplier must be capable of accurately and confidentially carrying out both initial screening and confirmation testing services which will provide national coverage throughout Great Britain. The Contractor/ Supplier will be required to transport samples from Franchise Doctors across Great Britain to the Contractor's/Supplier's nominated laboratory/laboratories for analysis. Monitoring, collating and feeding back trend analysis data would be advantageous, in particular on drugs below cut offs, which when combined, could result in impairment.
