Delivery of a Community Solar Project for Newcastle Borough Residents

Tender description

The Borough Council of Newcastle-under-Lyme's Sustainable Environment Services is seeking to engage with a suitable and experienced community renewable energy organisation to undertake a community solar project in the Borough for the benefit of residents living in Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough. This project aims to begin work in decarbonising the Borough for the Council's Net Zero Goal of 2050. In particular the Council is looking for an organisation that can self or group fund the project for social and residential housing in the Borough. As well, has the experience and quality/affordable suppliers for the installation of solar PV on homes. > Provide investment through self or group for the supply and installation of solar for housing in the Borough. > Benefit at financial risk residents of the Borough through the installation of solar which will reduce the cost-of-living for identified residents. > Provide local quality and affordable suppliers to source and install solar PV for housing in the Borough.
