Servers Storage Solutions National Agreement

Tender description

The purpose of the agreement is to offer a framework to support institutions’ in the procurement of servers and storage hardware, as well as solutions such as high performance computing or hyper-converged technology via a quick and compliant route to market. Lot 41881: Questions and Documents Reseller Solutions Reseller led; products and solutions must be based in servers, storage and solutions (the same scope as Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4). The intention is for this lot to enable new technologies associated networking and software, consultancy and installation within the scope of products and services set out in lots 1 to 4. This lot will allow solutions and multi-vendor solutions from new and evolving manufacturers and specialist deployment services via the appointed Resellers who will lead. Leasing will be permitted under this lot but must be evaluated by way of further competition. It is envisaged a maximum of 10 suppliers may be awarded to this lot. Resellers will be awarded to supply only those products and solutions and manufacturers they are deemed qualified for. Lot 41884: Lot 1 - Servers Servers OEM led lot with up to four routes to market either direct, with the OEM, or via nominated resellers. Suppliers must supply an approved range of servers and associated options. This lot includes maintenance renewals, management software and other software layers (where part of a hardware requirement). This lot includes the option to offer a hybrid approach (on and off premise), where on premise represents significant element of the requirement. Leasing will be permitted under this lot but must be evaluated by way of further competition. Services associated with on premises research infrastructure may also be purchased under this lot (for example: development services, integration with other new equipment or new types of integration, additional support services or extended maintenance might fall within this definition). Lot 41885: Lot 2 - Storage Storage OEM led lot with up to four routes to market either direct, with the OEM, or via nominated resellers. Suppliers must supply an approved range of storage equipment including backup, maintenance renewals, management software and other storage related software (where part of a hardware requirement) and includes software defined storage options. This lot includes the option to offer a hybrid approach (on and off premise), where on premise represents a significant element of the requirementLeasing will be permitted under this lot but must be evaluated by way of further competition. Services associated with on premises research infrastructure may also be purchased under this lot (for example: development services, integration with other new equipment or new types of integration, additional support services or extended maintenance might fall within this definition). Lot 41886: Lot 3 - Solutions Exc HPC Solutions - Converged, Hyper Converged, Hybrid and Other Solutions (excluding HPC and DIC) OEM Led with up to four routes to market direct, with the OEM, or via nominated resellers. Suppliers must be able to provide full end-to-end solutions for converged infrastructure, hyper-converged and hybrid solutions including servers, storage, networking and intrinsic to solution software, support, maintenance and design and deployment services. This lot includes the option to offer a hybrid approach (on and off premise), where on premise represents a significant element of the requirement. At least 51% of the equipment used to provide the solution must be the OEM’s technology that is contract on this Lot.
