Wet Penetration Testing

Tender description

The Surgical Materials Testing Laboratory (SMTL) is part of the Welsh NHS, funded by the Welsh Government, and based at Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend. SMTL is part of NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP). There is a requirement of the provision of the following test 1. Resistance to wet bacterial penetration, ISO 22610 (Part of BS EN 13795-Surgical clothing and drapes – Requirements and test methods) 2. ISO 17025 accredited quality system – The samples that require testing are often associated with legal recourse and the testing laboratory needs to have a robust quality system that takes appropriate custody and return of the samples.
