Purchase of Adaptive Optics System for Turbulence Correction This is a specialist piece of Laboratory research equipment and there are no other suppliers available in the market to supply this type of equipment in the form factor required. The Adaptive Optics System (supplied by Alpao SAS) features a deformable mirror with minimum number of actuators–292, settling time <500 us, flatness <10nm; control software; Silicon Sensor-CMOS type, Apertures–Min 50x50, Frequency– kHz, Sensitivity <2000 photons, Wavelength range 400–800 nm. all of which offers a high specification to work with satellite communications. The principal purpose of the contract is to acquire goods in connection with research undertaken by the University
