Safe Accommodation Support Services for Women (Refuges)

Tender description

This project was a further competition procedure under the dynamic purchasing system Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation Support Services Dynamic Provider List, project reference DN571003. It was run in accordance with the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and was a Light Touch Procurement for social and other specific services. To ensure the appropriate types and coverage of refuge provision across the County bids were sought for three Lots. LOT 1, South Nottinghamshire, covers Ashfield district and Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe boroughs. The requirement was for communal accommodation, with or without additional dispersed accommodation. LOT 2, Countywide required dispersed accommodation across the County of Nottinghamshire. LOT 3, North Nottinghamshire, covers Mansfield, Newark and Sherwood and Bassetlaw districts. The requirement was for communal accommodation, with or without additional dispersed accommodation. The aim of the services is to provide comprehensive specialist support services for female survivors of domestic abuse and their children residing in domestic abuse safe accommodation. This will include ensuring the highest degree of safety and security for survivors residing in the accommodation, offering individual support to meet the assessed needs of Survivors and aid their recovery, supporting Survivors to access other services to meet their physical and mental health needs, supporting Survivors and encouraging them to make independent decisions about their lives and being responsive to the needs of children and young people, ensuring they receive the right support to deal with the trauma they have endured. Services will be delivered within safe accommodation, refuges, which may be individual units, dispersed housing or communal refuges.
