Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) undertook a review of Health Professional Education and Training Services delivered to NHS Wales. The Together for Mental Health Delivery Plan 2019-22 sets out the requirement for Welsh Government to work with Health Education Improvement Wales (HEIW), Social Care Wales (SCW) and partners to produce a workforce plan for mental health. HEIW have sought to procure psychological services education to increase the sustainability of the psychology services workforce. Lot 1: HEIW Provision of Clinical Psychology Education and Training Services South, West and Mid Wales Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) have undertaken a review of Health Professional Education and Training Services delivered to NHS Wales. In order to increase psychology services workforce sustainability, HEIW sought to procure educational provisions for a Level 8 Clinical Psychology Doctorate Programme, a Level 7 Masters Programme for a new profession for Wales, namely Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology (CAAPs) and Level 1 and Level 2 Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Whilst four different levels of education and training are being procured, there are clear synergies across the programmes that align with one education provider to deliver all four education requirements. Additional information: The Contract shall commence on the Effective Date: 2nd January 2024.Implementation period from 2nd January 2024 to 31st July 2024. Following the Implementation Period, delivery of the Programme shall commence from the Services Commencement Date (1st August 2024) and the Contract shall continue until expiry on 31st July 2029 unless extended in accordance with the provisions of the Contract.
