Tender description

Ofcom is progressing our work and understanding on the future implications of changes to TV delivery. Several distribution platforms are choosing to place greater reliance on IP distribution over time. As younger audiences in particular are increasingly watching content broadcast over IP, it is important that we understand how the commercial incentives play out for broadcasters and distribution platforms to transition towards delivering their content over IP. To help inform this work, Ofcom has a requirement for a piece of analysis to improve Ofcom's understanding of specific costs and commercial dynamics in the broadcast distribution market, and what the impacts of these costs could be on broadcasters.
