North Northamptonshire Council is seeking the provision of replacement play equipment at Barnwell Country Park in Northamptonshire. The overall aim is to provide an attractive, natural looking, unique, and fun play zone in the existing sand and water play area at Barnwell Country Park. Please note that this scheme is reliant upon a successful grant application to the FCC Communities Foundation Scheme. Should the grant application be successful the estimated maximum budget is expected to be around £90,000 to £95,000 1. Scope of Work 1.1 The existing sand and water play area was installed in 2017 and several pieces of play equipment are now in need of repair or replacement. Park staff will remove any redundant play equipment and their associated safety surfacing prior you your works. You will be responsible for all other ground works. 1.2 We see this as an opportune time to provide an uplift to this area through the installation of equipment that has high play value, provides accessibility for all, and fits our four key themes of: • Sand • Gravel • Woodland • Wildlife 1.3 The council does not have a clear design guide and are seeking to use the expertise of the supplier to establish an innovative design featuring the themes above. 1.4.
