Venue Cymru, Llandudno - Boiler Replacements - 2021/2022

Project description: Works were for the replacement of existing gas fired atmospheric boilers and associated plant serving the Theatre section of the Venue Cymru complex in Llandudno. Equipment was to be removed includes heating boilers (Beeston Beverley BV9/270), heating pumps, valves, pipework, insulation, controls, wiring, containment, flues, isolators, brackets, supports and all other equipment made redundant due to the nature of the works. Access to the theatre plantroom via internal walkways is limited and is in use by theatre staff on a regular basis, as such internal access routes are not suitable for access to undertake the contract works. The new installation was to comprise of 2 x modular gas fired boilers complete with stainless steel heat exchangers. The contractor was to make due allowance for any multi-function clip in modules required to facilitate an analogue 0-10V input. The boilers were to be installed are configured as multiple modules stacked above each other on a frame. The contractor was to make due allowance for partial disassembly of the boilers into single modules to facilitate lifting up to the lifting plantroom to be manoeuvred into position. Once in position the contractor was to make due allowance for re-assembly of the boilers in their final location.
