<p>Wigan Council are looking to procure a finance software package for up to 96 LA maintained schools in Wigan. This will need to be a school specific system incorporating all elements of a traditional accounting package including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and budget management functionality. The system will need to interface with Local Authority financial systems to support the collation of information for our consolidated accounts and will need to be fully compliant with all statutory reporting requirements. The system should be simple and easy to use yet be able to provide high quality and comprehensive reports on the school’s financial performance. The number of licences purchased will be based on school buy in and we would wish to ensure that sufficient training and support at the time of implementation is provided, working closely with the LA’s finance team and system support unit. The system will need to be suited both to our largest secondary schools and our smallest primary schools with consistent processes across all schools. This will be a resource accessed by staff based within schools.
