Tender description
Portsmouth City Council is planning to tender a new contract for its Respite Room Accommodation Service, the provision of supported temporary accommodation for women at risk of domestic abuse, rape or sexual assault, sex workers, victims of exploitation or violence; and who are sleeping rough or at risk of rough sleeping. It is anticipated that the Contract will last for an initial term of up to 21 months. There may be opportunities to extend depending on the availability of future funding (in increments to be agreed) and it is intended to be used for the provision of housing and domestic-abuse related support to single women. This will also include support for those with multiple and complex needs such as substance misuse, migrant victims of abuse and victims of sexual trafficking. As a precursor to the issue of tender documentation, the Council would like to consult organisations on the proposed scope, content of the contract, and specification. Consequently, we have produced this short consultation document and would welcome input into this process from interested parties. The deadline for receipt of responses is 3rd March 2023. Responses should be returned using the return submission function on In-Tend. Views of perspective tenderers are very important to us, will be taken into consideration, and may have a direct bearing on the final documentation. The purpose of the consultation is to engage collaboratively with our partner agencies and providers in developing an accommodation and support model which will support individuals to secure and sustain housing following a period of homelessness.
