<p>Introduction 1.1 To provide access to books and other materials to housebound people and their carers resident in Trafford 1.2 To offer housebound people in Trafford, in so far as it is possible, full access to the facilities and services of Trafford’s Libraries 1.3 To uphold clients’ rights of choice, independence, privacy, fulfilment and dignity 1.4 To keep clients fully informed of when to expect the service, which will normally be on a three weekly basis 1.5 To provide some social contact where the volunteer is able to spend some time with the clients 1.6 To enable an informal ‘safe and well’ check to be made on clients</p> Keywords: Home, Library, Housebound, Carers, Social contact
