427 - Prior Information Notice (PIN): Emotional and Mental Health Service for Children in Care and Care Leavers

<p style="margin-right: 2.3pt; text-align: justify">Please note, this is a soft market testing exercise and the deadline for expressions of interest is 12pm, Monday 27th February.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin-right: 2.3pt; text-align: justify">&nbsp;</p> <p>Wigan Council wishes to work with a suitably experienced and qualified organisation whom share the same ethical values to work in partnership with the Local Authority to deliver an Emotional and Mental Health Service for Children in Care and Care Leavers.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The service is to be a flexible and a responsive service for this cohort of children and young people who have in the vast majority of cases, suffered significant adverse childhood experiences often leading to long-lasting emotional trauma. Child and adolescent mental health provision currently does not meet this need. These children and their carers need a robust service to ensure the right support is provided at the right time in order to avoid an escalation of need and support stability within their home.</p> <p style="margin-right: 2.3pt; text-align: justify">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin-right: 2.3pt">The overall aims for this service are:</p> <ul> <li>Children and young people in Care and Care Leavers&nbsp;have good mental health</li> <li style="margin-right: 2.3pt">Children and young people in Care and Care Leavers have healthy relationships</li> <li style="margin-right: 2.3pt">Children and young people in Care and Care Leavers have stable and consistent homes.</li> <li style="margin-right: 2.3pt">Children and young people in Care and Care Leavers have a positive experience of care and support from the service</li> </ul> <p style="margin-right: 2.3pt; text-align: justify">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin-right: 2.3pt; text-align: justify">A full Invitation to Tender will be advertised on The Chest with a date tbc.</p> Keywords: Children's, Mental Health, Social Care
