Research on Housing Experiences, Attitudes and Aspirations on behalf of the Housing Agency

Tender description

The Housing Agency is seeking responses from suitably qualified researchers to undertake the fourth iteration of the National Study of Irish Housing Experiences, Attitudes and Aspirations series, comprising a nationally representative survey and programme of themed focus groups to collect data on housing experiences, attitudes and aspirations. It is anticipated that the survey will be conducted in Spring 2023 and that a minimum of six (but more may be required) focus groups will be held following the completion of the survey fieldwork. The National Study of Housing Experiences, Attitudes and Aspirations in Ireland aims to add to understanding of how people experience their homes and neighbourhoods, and their future housing plans. The survey, which ran in 2018, 2019 and 2020, is building a databank of what people consider important and significant in their homes. The 2023 study will be the fourth in the series, intended to capture contemporaneous data and also to provide a second point-in-time in a data series beginning with the 2018 study to reveal trends over time. The 2018 and 2019 datasets are available to academics and researchers through the Irish Social Science Data Archive (ISSDA) held in UCD, and the 2020 dataset will also be made available.
