The City of London Corporation (the City) invites Tenders for the provision of a provider to capture existing site conditions and the definition of the survey outputs. To recognise the scale of the survey task ahead and the need to prioritise elements of the deliverables to support ongoing design development. To capture site topography surfaces, site utilities, transport infrastructure, Band A building façades and internal spaces. This phase will also pick up identified zones within the public realm. To capture all Band B building façades and external spaces. This phase will also establish the surrounding site context. The Barbican Centre, is a leading global arts and learning institution and is one of London’s most ambitious architectural achievements and an icon of brutalism. The Barbican Renewal project, first announced in February last year, will preserve and respect the complex’s original architectural vision, while adapting it to respond to the creative opportunities and challenges of today. This will include upgrading venues, bringing underused spaces back to life, and improving the welcome, wayfinding and digital technology at the site, reflecting the energy of London’s many communities and the Barbican Centre’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
