EOI for the Commission of Short term, stepdown assessment beds

Tender description

The City of York Council (CYC) is looking to commission short term, stepdown assessment beds on a spot or block purchase to support hospital discharge and enable people to return Home. The contract is until 31st March 2023 and Providers would need to start provision as soon as possible in February 2023. There may be an opportunity to extend this beyond 31st March 2023 for approximately 6-12 months. This is to support hospital discharges to stepdown and step up and avoid hospital admissions within York. CYC would like to have a geographical spread for the beds across the City of York to provide easy access for our customers. However, we would consider beds that are located outside the boundaries of York. We would like to engage with the market to seek expressions of interest from providers who have the capacity in the market to support the requirements set out in this document and who can commence as soon as possible. CYC are looking for a range of providers who have the experience, knowledge, and the appropriate registrations and trained staff to support this commission. A block or spot commission to support hospital discharge and hospital avoidance, which may also have referrals from the Hospital and Brokerage team. CYC intend to gather this information from Providers through Annex A (at the end of the EOI document) and Annex B (Pricing Schedule). Decisions will be made based on price, bed availability, start date and ability to meet stipulated requirements. York will be seeking best value for money and submissions will be evaluated on 80% price, 20% experience. Please ensure any expression of interest is your best and final offer.
