Tender description

The supply of 15 narrow gauge velo rail cars. The velo rail car consists of a small flat rail wagon with 4 flange type wheels for travelling on narrow gauge rail line and is powered by 2 “cyclists”. It has 2 saddles with drive pedals, cranks, chains, freewheels and sprockets driving the front wheels like 2 bicycles mounted side by side. A bench type seat for up to 3 passengers is mounted to the rear. A foot pedal with a mechanical linkage operates the brakes. A handbrake acting on the footbrake brake mechanism is also required.
