One HMPPS Leadership Programme

This will be a bespoke programme for which there is no current provision. This requirement is in line with the creation of ‘One HMPPS’, which will bring front line staff from both the prison and probation services together to make the system more consistent and efficient. One HMPPS will be split into 7 different regions which will each be allocated an Area Executive Director (AED) to oversee that region, who will need to respond effectively to high expectations and demonstrate their leadership style to help make this highly important transformation a smooth process. Lot 1: The programme is only required for 40 weeks while the AEDs are settling into their role. One HMPPS is an ambitious and complex transformational change programme with the aim to encourage collaboration between probation and prison frontline staff, supporting the delivery of efficient and effective services to achieve better outcomes for victims, communities, and offenders. This change will bring prisons and probation areas of England and Wales under the leadership of seven new AEDs.
