Single Party Framework for the design and supply of a Virtual Reality Simulator training system to enhance the Healthcare Support training courses offered by WWETB

Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board WWETB (the “Contracting Authority”) invites tenders (“Tenders”) to this Request for Tenders (“RFT”) from economic operators (“Tenderers”) for the design, development, and supply of a Virtual Reality Software system to enhance the teaching and learning of Healthcare Support courses offered by WWETB as outlined in Appendix 1 to this RFT (the “Services”). This public procurement competition relates to the establishment of a Single Party Framework ("Framework") for the design, development, and supply of a Virtual Reality software system to enhance the teaching and learning of Healthcare Support courses offered by WWETB. WWETB envisage the replication of working environments in a 3D space along with set training course to upskill staff and students in the vital skills they will be required to have knowledge of when they work as a Healthcare Assistant. The proposal is to include the development, supply, delivery, and commissioning of equipment (software and hardware) for the Virtual Reality Training Simulator. The Virtual Reality simulator training system will enhance the training programme for Healthcare Assistant techniques in the healthcare industry by providing an opportunity to develop practical skills and relevant knowledge in a virtual reality environment. The units should be capable of performing on site duties to mirror Healthcare Assistant scenarios as outlined in specification. Equipment must be mobile and supplied with protective casing. In the context of a single-party framework agreement, the successful framework member does not have to compete for each new contract. It is emphasised that a framework agreement constitutes no guarantee to purchase a specific quantity of supplies or services from a particular economic operator.
