Tender description
The Goods comprise the Supply, delivery and Installation of a Flow Cytometer for Trinity College Dublin as specified in Appendix 1. The flow cytometry system MUST include a minimum of 20 detection channels (or equivalent; including FSC and SSC); i.e. detection and differentiation of ≥ 18 different fluorochromes per sample. The cytometer will upgrade the existing Flow Cytometry and Cell Sorting Core within the Trinity Translational Medicine Institute (TTMI). It will serve as a hub across many thematic priorities in TCD including Ageing; where biomarkers from the TILDA longitudinal cohort will be interrogated, Cancer; where the significance of stem cells, circulating tumour cells and the role of inflammation and the immune system in promoting metastasis and as a vehicle for therapeutic intervention may be explored in clinical samples. The University is seeking a low maintenance, robust flow cytometer that produces minimal waste in line with the Provost’s sustainability initiatives. The budget is fixed at €85,000 Ex VAT. Tenders in excess of this value will be excluded. Refurbished / Ex-Demo instruments are eligible.
