Summary of the work Business Analyst with focus on the technical aspects of a service, with a proven track record of identifying and assuring requirements and managing the associated, risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies across large, complex, programmes. Specialist role Business analyst Expected Contract Length 24 months with an optional extension period of up to 6 months Latest start date Monday 3 April 2023 Maximum Day Rate £595 per day (ex VAT). This role is Inside IR35 Who Speclialist Work With The specialist will join a team of Technical Delivery Partners, supporting them in the end-to-end Delivery Integration and Assurance of the Technology Services (TS) products and services of multiple complex programmes of change. The specialist will be working with (including but not limited to) the following key stakeholders: - TS Delivery Partners - Digital Programme Managers - Service Operations Design Managers - Service Transition Managers - Digital Workplace Engineers - Hybrid Cloud Services - Network Engineers - Service Operations Design, Service Transition and User Support Services - DWP Delivery Managers - Third Party Providers to DWP What Specialists Work On This role is suitable for candidates that can operate both at business and at technical level, who are comfortable working with architects, 3rd party suppliers of IT and IT Managed Services and operational stakeholders. The key responsibilities will be • Work with key stakeholders,3rd party suppliers translating business requirements into service features, supporting delivery of these features in existing IT services. Assisting with quality assurance of the overall solution. • Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment • Raising issues and risks raised. Resolving in an appropriate manner. • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring understanding of requirements and acceptance criteria is aligned. Skills & Experience • Defining and managing business, as well as technical requirements. • Identifying and managing risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies across complex IT programmes • Supporting the quality assurance of the overall service by developing appropriate acceptance criteria. • Facilitating setting of business priorities for change initiatives of medium complexity • Managing and implementing requests for changes to baseline requirements Work Location DWP Digital Hub sites : 2 St Peters Square, Manchester, Peel Park, Blackpool, Quarry House, Leeds, Kings Court, Sheffield or Benton Park View, Newcastle Working Arrangments Specialist will work 5 working days per week. The specialist will be expected to attend site 40% of their working time in line with DWP's Hybrid working policy working remotely for the remainder of their time. Days of attendance on site will be as determined by DWP management. Candidates based elsewhere will have to be prepared to travel to the North West. 6. “Expected contract length 24 months”Will the initial contract be for 24 months?If yes, will DWP modify the DOS contract to allow early termination by the supplier with an appropriate notice period? The contract will be for 24 months with appropriate termination clauses included 7. Please confirm site attendance will be 2 days per week? Attendance on site will be as required by the vacancy holder. This may not be a set 2 days a week but will add up to 40% of the contractor's time. Attendance on site will be as determined by operational need.
