Tender description

The proof of concept will test the hypothesis to see if assistive technology can be used instead of a physical visit -that is the current for the Carer Voucher Scheme. To work with a minimum of 2 existing carers and 8 new carers. Included in costs are 10 video care phones and sim cards, installation and training, a virtual carer. The technology will also allow group video calls, enabling cared for people to make new friends and reducing the outgoing cost to the council. The only provider who can provide the technology for remote group video calls within budget is Alcove Ltd. There are two providers who's equipment costs upwards of £6,000 each, compared to Alcoves which costs £350 per person approximately.
