Tender description

Basildon Borough Council is seeking to let a contract for Arboriculture Services. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced organisations who wish to be considered for the work which is provided in the specification. The services comprises of various tree works throughout the Borough to trees located within parks, highways, open spaces, community related assets and housing properties. There is no guarantee of volumes of work to the Contractor. Lot 1: Tree Maintenance within the Borough The Borough of Basildon has a large quantity of trees throughout its parks, streets and open spaces making Basildon a green borough. The Arboriculture Section specify work to the trees within the borough and organises the tree contractor to undertake the work. Contractors can be asked to do a variety of tree surgery from street light clearance to crown reduction to a range of different size and species of tree. Removal of - Self-sets trees Ash - that are dead or dying Basel growth Crown reduction to keep away from property. Reduce/remove hedgerows. Instructed work for housing – gardens of council tenants.
