Open Select List for Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives

Tender description

Local authorities are mandated under the Local Authorities Regulations 2013 to commission comprehensive open access sexual health services, including Long Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARC) and the costs of medication/devices associated with their commissioned services. Lincolnshire County Council are seeking to commission local GP Practices to provide LARC including intrauterine contraception (IUC) methods and contraceptive subdermal implants (SDI). Providers can choose to provide either IUC or SDI services, or both. The specification sets out the requirements of these services including the activity payment which is set by the Council. Lot 1: The Council is establishing an Open Select List (OSL) of Providers to deliver LARC provision to Lincolnshire's eligible population from April 2024. The purpose of the OSL is to ensure that we have consistent services and standard pricing and terms and conditions for the LARC service. There will be no restrictions on the number of providers able to be accepted on the OSL. Providers can choose to provide either IUC or SDI services, or both and there will be no restrictions on the number of services able to offer provision in one geographical location. Additional information: The contract is subject to an initial duration of 60 months with an extension of up to 24 months.
