Volunteer-Led Family Support & Respite Service

Tender description

Knowsley Council seek to commission a service to deliver a range of support interventions, through the use of volunteers. As a minimum, this service should provide: 1. Hosting for children in a volunteer’s home – short, safe hosting for one or more children from an individual family to provide respite and support to both the parents and children. 2. Befriending – volunteer mentors to provide emotional and practical support to families to help affect positive change and address issues associated with parental isolation, mental health issues and parenting capacity. 3. Resource support – support in the form of practical help (cleaning, gardening, etc.) as well as practical resources (e.g., clothing, furniture) that the family may need.
