Multidisciplinary Consultancy Services for Achill Greenway Extension (Cashel to Bunacurry) Phases 5-7 for Mayo County Council.

Tender description

Mayo County Council (the “Client”) seeks to appoint a Multi-Disciplinary Engineering Consultancy (the “Consultant”) to undertake the necessary detailed designs, construction tender documentation, contract administration, site supervision and Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) role for the Achill Greenway Extension (Cashel to Bunacurry) Scheme. Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) have taken over funding of the overall Achill Sound to Bunacurry Greenway Project since 2022. TII funding approval is in place to allow Mayo County Council to extend the scheme from Cashel to Bunacurry. The TII Procedures to be adopted for this scheme are the Project Manager’s Manual for Greenway Projects PE-PMG-02047 June 2022. This Tender is for consultancy services required for Phase 5 (Enabling and Procurement), Phase 6 (Construction and Implementation) and Phase 7 (Close-out and Review). The Sanctioning Authority for the Project is the Transport Infrastructure Ireland. Ch 480m to Ch 5160m of the Achill Greenway is already complete was officially opened to the Public on 1st September 2023. The Ch 50m to Ch 480m section through Achill Sound Village is currently under construction and is expected to be substantially complete in late January 2024. The additional Greenway section from Ch 5160m to Ch 10608m (i.e.) Cashel to Bunacurry is the subject of this Call for Tender and enclosed Documents.
