Bespoke Orthotics - Provision of Clinical Service and Bespoke Goods

NHS Wales intend to go out to tender for the provision of bespoke orthotic footwear and lower limb orthoses. Additionally, some Health Boards in Wales also have a requirement for fixed Orthotist provision, whilst others require use of this service on an adhoc basis. This will be encompassed within the scope of the contract. The contract will be for a period of three years (with the option to extend for a further 2 years). The estimated value stated in this notice is the full five year value. Lot 2: Provision of Orthotic consumables - Lots will be confirmed with the contract notice and tender documents The provision of Bespoke Orthopedic goods will be split into different categories like those detailed below: -Footwear and Insoles - Including repairs and potentially adaptations. -Plastics – Including AFOs and KAFOs. -Supplementary – including fabric orthoses. -Bespoke helmets We are looking to understand whether suppliers would want to bid on all of the above categories or just some of the categories. Additionally we want to understand whether suppliers would bid to provide some or all of the above services to all health boards or just certain health boards. Additional information: We are looking to understand whether suppliers would be interested in providing goods (Lot 2), services (Lot 1) or both. Lot 1: Provision of Orthotists for Clinical Service - Lots will be confirmed with the contract notice and tender documents This lot will include the provision of Orthotists for clinical service. The lot will be split as the service will be provided on both a fixed and adhoc basis for different health boards. We are trying to gain an understanding as to whether suppliers would want to bid to provide this service as a whole or only for certain health boards.
