Provision of services under the Biological Monitoring and Assessment Framework for Rivers and Lakes 2024 – 2028

Tender description

The EPA’s Office of Evidence and Assessment undertakes biological monitoring of rivers and lakes in fulfilment of the needs of the Water Framework Directive (WFD) monitoring programme (Directive 2000/60/EC) and other Directives as required. The EPA is seeking technical assistance with the undertaking of some of its rivers and lakes monitoring and assessment work on an annual basis to supplement the EPA’s own monitoring resources. The EPA is establishing a multi operator framework agreement under two separate lots for the procurement of providing survey and assessment (sampling, identification, application of tools) expertise for freshwater monitoring of rivers and lakes across the island of Ireland in order to provide data and assessments to support WFD monitoring and related Directives.
