Tender description

EDC, as the Employer, requires a suitably qualified and experienced materials testing consultant (the Supplier) to carry out testing for the presence of coal tar in advance of resurfacing works on both carriageways and footways. The areas to be tested will be issued to the Supplier in the form of proposed Work Orders which will individually detail the areas to be tested. In return the Supplier will carry out coring and testing for the presence of coal tar and submit reports of their findings to the Employer. Lot 1: The following is a summary of the scope of Services the Supplier provides under this contract. 1. Coring through the existing carriageways and footways. 2. PAK Testing and PAH Testing (if necessary) of the cores taken. 3. Reporting on the presence of coal tar in advance of potential resurfacing works. 4. Reinstatement core hole with Highways Authority Product Approval scheme (hereinafter abbreviated to “HAPAS”) approved material. Additional information: Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
