RDE412 - Synthesis of GHG and C flux data collected from UK saltmarsh habitat

Tender description

A recent report titled "Defining saltmarsh for potential inclusion in the Land Use, Land Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF) Inventory" by Burden et al. (in review) to the UK Blue Carbon Evidence Partnership details a roadmap for saltmarsh to be included in the GHG inventory. One of the key data requirements is "Step 5: Synthesis of GHG and C flux data from published work applicable to and collected from UK saltmarsh habitat, and compilation of database". This project will cover Step 5 of the Road map, to provide a living database of saltmarsh GHG datasets needed to advance our progress along the road for estimating GHG emissions from saltmarshes in the UK for use in the UK Saltmarsh Carbon Code and inclusion of Blue Carbon habitats in the UK GHG inventory. This contract was awarded by EA.
