Tender description

The contract for Electronic Monitoring - Monitoring Device Systems Services (MDSS) has been awarded following a competitive dialogue procurement. The contract has been awarded to G4S Monitoring Technologies Ltd The value of the contract including any extension option is £175M Lot 1: MDSS procurement included monitoring device related functions this including: the provision of all monitoring devices (location monitoring, radio frequency, alcohol monitoring and non-fitted devices) based on demand; and the systems and functions underpinning the delivery of the devices, including mobile network provision. This service is provided across England and Wales but with some limited service provision in Northern Ireland and Scotland. Although the MoJ is the contracting authority for the procurement of MDSS and will be the contracting counterparty for MDSS, it intends to allow other government departments and arms-length bodies to have access to MDSS via its contract as service recipients who may add further service required
