Provision of a Sensory Service in Angus - this service will offer support to those who have a range of needs relating to sensory impairment. The service will enable supported people to live as independently as possible through the provision of support in areas such as specialist assessment, rehabilitation, advice and guidance, communication (such as British Sign Language) and equipment. The service will enable supported people to live as independently as possible through the provision of support in areas such as specialist assessment, rehabilitation, advice and guidance, communication (such as British Sign Language) and equipment. There will also be the requirement for those, due to the extent of their dual sensory loss, to provide a Guide Communicator Service. The service provider will also hold the Sight Loss Register (CVI Sight Loss Certificate) on behalf of the Council.
