The Supply of Operational Ration Heater Systems

Tender description

The scope of the requirement is for an individual field cooking system, which comprises of a small and lightweight portable cooker and associated solid / gel fuel (that is not hexamine based and is able to ignite after being fully submerged in water), to enable British Armed Forces personnel, using their mess tins, to boil water for drinks and heat individual field ration retort pouches in remote outdoor locations and in all weather conditions, and to do so on multiple occasions. The cooking system should be able to be safely transported by all transport modes (including air) in bulk quantity and shall a minimum shelf life of 2 years. We are keen to hear from any suppliers who feel they have a cooking system that is able to meet this requirement in full, and ask that they express their interest, using the below email address, providing their contact details and including relevant photographs, specifications and technical and safety data sheets for both their proposed cooker and associated fuel products.
