Tender description
Lough Carra LIFE, funded by the European Commission LIFE Programme under Grant Agreement No. LIFE20 NAT/IE/000172, is a five-year project led by Mayo County Council which will work towards improving ecosystem resilience and reducing nutrient pollution in Lough Carra, one of Europe’s premier SAC Marl lakes. The project will take place in the Lough Carra catchment area, Co. Mayo, and will work with farmers, other landowners, and local community groups to restore the Marl Lake habitat and to improve the conservation status of other habitats and species within the catchment area.
