Legacy Concrete Pavement framework

Tender description

National Highways are proposing to put in place a new framework that will continue to deliver the Concrete Roads Programme comprising the following lots: 1) Lifecycle Extension Works (LEW) to deliver design and construction Work Orders focused on extending the life of the existing concrete pavement; 2) Minor Capital Intervention (MCI) to deliver construction only Work Orders; 3) Professional Services to deliver: - designer/ supervisor/ project manager/ technical assurance services to support the programme - support to centre of excellence function to deliver research and development activities. Lot 1: Lifecycle Extension Works (LEW) Lifecycle Extension Works (LEW): - design of chosen intervention - construction of chosen intervention - Principal Contractor and Principal Designer duties​ when instructed - traffic management​ - provision of welfare facilities​ - public and stakeholder engagement and communications Lot 2: Minor Capital Intervention (MCI) Minor Capital Intervention (MCI) to deliver construction only Work Orders: - construction of chosen intervention - Principal Contractor duties​ when instructed - traffic management​ - provision of welfare facilities​ - centre of excellence undertaking construction of research and development works Lot 3: Professional Services Professional Services to deliver: - designer/ NEC4 accredited supervisor/ NEC4 accredited project manager/ technical assurance services to support the programme - support to centre of excellence function to deliver research and development activities - potentially technical assurance services to support Legacy Concrete Roads Reconstruction - technical assurance services to support MCI and LEW if required - Principal Designer duties when instructed
