Connect the Classroom

This notice is for information only. Direct award via the SBS framework. Contract has already been awarded. Installation of infrastructure for the DfE's Connect the Classroom to improve WiFi connectivity across the trust estate - there are 3 schools covered in this notice. The DfE approved the works in October 2023, works must currently be completed by March 2024 leaving no time for a formal tender whilst avoiding disruption to teaching and learning during term time. Following legal advice, the trust has used an approved framework (SBS) to award a call-off contract. Lot 1: Cabling, data points and network switches to improve WiFi across three school estates (St Anne's Academy, Middleton / East Crompton St George's Primary School, Shaw / Mayfield Primary School, Oldham) in accordance with the DfE's specification for Connect the Classroom. Works approved by DfE in October 2023 and have to be completed by March 2024 hence the approach for a direct award through an approved framework. Additional information: Agreement may be extended by DfE.
