Request for Tenders for the supply of shelf-ready print books to the Houses of the Oireachtas Library

Tender description

The Houses of the Oireachtas Commission, a body corporate, (hereinafter referred to as “the Contracting Authority”) is tendering for the supply of shelf-ready print books for the Oireachtas Library. The Contracting Authority is responsible for the running of the Houses of the Oireachtas, or Irish Parliament, (Dáil Éireann, Seanad Éireann and Oireachtas Committees), and acts as governing body of the Houses of the Oireachtas Service (the “Service”) (further information is available at www.oireachtas.ie). The contract that will result from this RFT will be managed internally by the Oireachtas Library. The Oireachtas Library requires a book supplier that can supply print publications across subject areas: (particularly related to Ireland, published in Ireland and in some cases published in the Irish language) and in the fields of (but not limited to) law, economics, social sciences, politics, parliamentary procedure, history and public administration; library and information science and reference titles such as dictionaries. The supplier must communicate promptly with, and dispatch requested books to, the Oireachtas Library within prompt delivery times. The Oireachtas Library requires an on-demand ordering facility with the option to prioritise deliveries based on need. All received books are to be ready for immediate access and use by the Houses of the Oireachtas.
