Platinum Playground refurbishment

Tender description

King George V playground in Appleby is the main children's play area in the centre of town and is well used by both local children and visitors. The majority of the current playground equipment is between 20-35 years old and is very tired looking and in a bad state of disrepair. In addition, some pieces of equipment are located under mature trees and both the equipment and surface are often very slippery and dangerous underfoot. We would like to replace the equipment with similar type equipment (ie. 2 multi-play frames, swings, etc) and we would like to keep to the existing footprint of the current playground, although we would like to change the layout so the toddler and junior multi-play systems are located on the other side, furthest away from the trees. We are also open to any suggestions or new ideas regarding equipment and layout. More information about the project can be found on the attachment.
