Tender description

The investment on the multi-purpose microwave furnace system is the core to deliver this project on Bay Campus and will be also made available to all other department members and the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences it belongs to. The Department of Chemical Engineering has strong research expertise in the fields of Resources, Processes, and Materials, and plays a crucial role in supporting local Welsh-based industry. It is within the Resources and Materials themes that we develop innovative solutions to tackle global challenges related to energy, water, and decarbonisation. The development of materials and technologies for energy storage and conversion, membranes for water treatment, decarbonisation and sensors technologies are critically dependent on the availability of working, robust and reliable experimental equipment.
