Vehicle Support Team (VST), part of the UK Ministry of Defence is currently determining on behalf of the Secretary of State for the United Kingdom the route of exercising options within the Service Provision and Transformation Contract (SPTC) contract Award notice OJS024 40591-2015-EN “Sale of the Defence Support Group and Land Equipment Service Provision and Transformation Contract” with Babcock DSG ltd. Section II 1.4 of said award notice gives the Authority the option to take up to five 12 month options to extend the SPTC up to 31/03/2030 The Authority may seek to invoke these option years as it deems appropriate to continue the delivery of equipment support to the UK’s Armed Services. This is a notice of intent. These option years are intended to maintain critical equipment support to the UK’s Armed Services until the LIOS programme reaches maturity.
