Tender description

Affinity proteomic analysis of peripheral serum samples taken from a prospective observational cohort study for discovery of early biomarkers associated with infection. The identification of signatures of infection - present at the earliest stages of disease (ideally before the development of overt symptoms) - could enable rapid response to outbreaks of disease, informing triage, treatment and helping prevent the spread of infections within community groups, including the military. Such signatures are likely to be observable in changes that occur in the complement of molecules (biomarkers) present in clinical samples to include proteins (proteome).
