1933 Provision for a Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) instrument at De Montfort University, Leicester

This is for the provision of a current version of a complete DLS instrument. The contract requires the successful tenderer to supply and install fully a current model of an instrument with the following technical features: 1. DLS instrument: o Capable of measuring particle size, zeta potential, electrophoretic mobility, molecular mass and transmittance o Offering three measuring angles (forward-, side- and back-scattering) o Measuring transmittance continuously, allowing for direct measure of turbidity and automatic adjustment of parameters such as focus, attenuation, measuring angle and measurement duration o Capable of measuring zeta potential with high accuracy, through electrophoretic light scattering o Size range: 0.3 nm to 10 um o Zeta potential range: +/- 1000 mV o Molecular mass range: 980 Da to 20 Mda Allocated Budget: ?45,000.
