Lough Scur Bridge Masonry Repair Works Contract 2023

Tender description

Repair works at Lough Scur Bridge will involve the repair of masonry arch bridge structure, i.e rebuild of damaged parapet,, reset of copings and repointing using a natural hydraulic lime mortar. Works are to be treated as a conservation / restoration activity, with care taken to maintain the original appearance and use of traditional materials, i.e. hydraulic lime mortars. Existing materials are to be reused where possible and matched as appropriate. Road closures /diversions may be required, and will therefore require the implementation of traffic management plans. The Contractor is to determine traffic management arrangements required in liaison with local road authority, submit requisite applications for traffic management to the local road authority, gain local road authority approval for proposed traffic management plans and implement, manage and maintain approved traffic management plans during the course of the bridge repair works.
