National Contract for the provision of Covid-19/Infectious Substance Test Swabs Collection & Transportation

Tender description

The HSE invites tenders from Suppliers appointed to the above DPS Project Reference for the provision of Covid-19/Infectious substance Test Swabs Collection & Transportation. There are two lots in this tender with Lot 1 having multiple requirements; Lot 1: • Requirement 1: Collection & Transportation of COVID-19 specimen samples from specified COVID-19 testing facilities. A list of current collection locations is outlined in Appendix 2 A-E. • Requirement 2: Collection & Transportation of COVID-19 samples from nominated laboratories to spoke sites for Whole Genome Sequencing. • Requirement 3: Collection & Transportation of COVID-19 samples from specified water treatment facilities (Appendix 2 G). • Requirement 4: Collection & Transportation of COVID-19 samples from specified participating sites of the European Primary Care Sentinel Vaccine Effectiveness program to the National Virus Reference Satellite Laboratory, Backweston. • Requirement 5: Collection & Transportation of Infectious substance samples from the specified swabbing locations to the National Virus Reference Satellite Laboratory, UCD (Appendix 2 H). Lot 2: Collection & Transportation of Covid-19 samples to a specified overseas Laboratory. The HSE’s preference would be for a single supplier as this meets the optimum operational requirements and represents best value for money for the HSE in respect of these specific tender however Tenderers may apply for: • Lot 1 only • Or Both Lot 1 & Lot 2 Please note: the collection and delivery services described above may not be on-going, or may be subject to change.
