Tender description
CCBC sought to appoint a technical consultant who can provide support to a solar farm project’s development. CCBC’s project opportunity is to develop a ground mounted solar farm of up to ~20 MW capacity, the largest of its kind in local authority ownership in Wales. A grid connection offer has been secured which provides for 15,306 kVA export on to Western Power Distribution’s network at 33kV. A provisional grid connection date has been agreed with Western Power Distribution (WPD) for Summer 2022 when WPD’s upgrade works at Upper Boat substation are due to have been completed.
