NTCA One Stop Shop for Retrofit Advice for North of Tyne Combined Authority- Market Consultation

Tender description

Bringing forward an at-scale retrofit programme across the North of Tyne area is one of the ambitions in the North of Tyne Combined Authority (NTCA) Corporate Plan. Providing a one-stop-shop for energy efficiency and retrofit advice and support, helping households to reduce energy costs and emissions is included in the North of Tyne UK Shared Prosperity Fund Investment Plan. NTCA has already funded a number of projects to support this ambition - most recently NTCA Cabinet allocated funding to develop a business case for a major retrofit as part of NTCA’s response to the North of Tyne Citizens’ Assembly on Climate Change. NTCA are working with Energy Saving Trust (EST), in partnership with Accelar, to deliver the “Developing a Business Case for Major Retrofit” project. Part of this project includes “developing a business model, including resource requirements for a One-Stop-Shop for retrofit advice to build residential demand, provide trusted advice and coordination functions”. Two stakeholder engagement workshops were held in June 2023 to gain feedback on the proposed requirements for a Retrofit One-Stop-Shop. NTCA intend to procure this service and would like to gain feedback from contractors on the proposed minimum requirements for a North of Tyne One-Stop-Shop for Retrofit Advice.
