Tender description
The Authority is looking for a contractor to fulfil this requirement which would meet: MAA RA1205 regulatory compliance for independent evaluation of Air System Safety Cases and support development of a principle Risk Management Tool for the safe operations of RAF frontline aircraft. It is supported by the Senior Operator to AOC 1Gp as the Operating Duty Holder (ODH). The requirement is based on completing two sequential activities. The first activity is a single task to provide independent assurance of the HQ 1Gp Air System Safety Case (ASSC) common claims format. MAA RA1205 requires independent assessment of an ASSC so this first activity is to confirm that the methodology of this generic format, and the process for internal evaluation and assessment of the ASSC through the Platform Safety Group and the Air System Safety Working Group, is RA compliant and fit for purpose. The next activity is follow-on task to provide independent assurance of each of the HQ 1Gp platform’s ASSC. Although each 1 Gp platform uses the same 1Gp common claims format for their ASSC, they will score and populate the information differently. The follow-on activity is to confirm that each 1Gp ASSC (of which there are 13) is compliant and has been compiled accurately and comprehensively. This will include checking the validity of grades made against each claim, assessing the strength of the arguments and whether they are supported by the evidence presented. All 1Gp ASSC’s use a common format so the task should allow comparison of platforms. The supplier is not expected to write the ASSC, they already exist and will be provided by 1Gp STAR.
