Trial use of Drones/UAVs - C25686 - RFI

Tender description

Border Force is a Directorate of the Home Office (The Buyer). The Buyer wishes to engage the market and conduct a Request for Information (RFI) with a view to trialling drones/UAVs The Buyer requires the trialling of Drones/UAVs in non-operational training environments with confined spaces and 'live' operational environments aboard vessels, to ascertain the viability of their deployment to search confined spaces for Person(s) and/or Goods. Both of the trial types will be conducted in Liverpool over a one to two day period. Specific details of the requirement can be found in the accompanying RFI document. Any equipment made available for this trial is to be at the expense of the bidder. This trial will enable the Buyer to make an informed decision in consideration to a potential national rollout based on the trial use of this equipment. A full breakdown of the timings for this engagement is available in the RFI document. The Buyer reserves the right to withdraw this engagement or not pursue this capability for any reason, and at any point, during this process.
